Optional Extras
This includes all the items listed below, which can be used to build the Wollemi Opals Flat Lap V1.2, which can be configured as both a flat lap, or angle lap, with the included parts. All items pictured.

These kits include:
  • 15 x 3d printed parts (v1.2 design iteration), may be any colour.
  • Motor
  • Speed controller (DC 5-35v input)
  • 5.5mm female plug
  • Some wires for connecting the plug to the speed controller
  • Dripper
  • 4 M8 nuts and bolts
  • 1 M3 nut, bolt and washer
You must choose an option:
  • A 110-240v wall power supply with an English C13 socket. (you'll need an English plug adapter, or local computer power lead)
  • Dewalt 18v Battery Dock
  • Makita 18v Battery Dock
You will need:
  • A few small tools
  • Region specific computer power lead (aka kettle lead, C13 socket) for the wall power supply option
  • A Makita or Dewalt 18v battery for either of the battery dock options.
  • Tiny amount of silicone or gasket maker or similar waterproof sealant/glue
  • A piece of hose (standard garden hose, 12.5mm ID) if you want to drain into a bucket, and perhaps a zip-tie to hold it on.
  • A soda/pop/fizzy drink bottle (500-600ml works well) - you may need to experiment with a few, Coke brand products work in the UK.
  • Lap discs. They're usually easily available on Amazon or eBay, but if you're really struggling I'll see if I can help you out.
Now some important bits.
  • This is a kit that you need to put together yourself. It requires little to no skill, and takes about 15 minutes.
  • The 3d printed parts need some clean-up (removing some excess plastic from supports, build plate adhesion, stringing etc) there's about 5 minutes of clean-up work, an exacto knife would be handy but mostly you can do it with your fingers.
  • 3d printed parts aren't as strong as injection molded parts and although I've designed them to be strong enough, I haven't put enough time in to know for sure. They're also "good enough" print quality but not always perfect. On the plus side, if parts need replacing or upgrading that's quick, cheap and easy.
  • I'm offering little to no support. In reality it's extremely likely I'll reply to messages and do all I can to help you out, but this kit isn't sold with any support. This Facebook page will also be a good source of knowledge and support from other users.
  • And finally if a part breaks in transit, I'll reserve the option to cover the cost of printing a part locally to you, rather than shipping another from the UK.
  • At present the buff arbor doesn't support a buff wheel because it will interfere with the shroud. I've supplied this for future proofing, and will update the shroud in future.
  • At present there are no instructions available, I will attempt to get some instructions on my facebook page prior to orders being delivered, but for the moment instructions aren't part of this item for sale.
  • I'm not sure how import duties will affect your purchase, please check this prior to buying. It will be shipped with a UK CN22 customs declaration.
  • This is designed to be used in a wet area, and you shouldn't expect any parts to hold water or be waterproof.
